Here are a couple of design ideas I had for storing magazines.

For the first one I simply looped a piece of 50 lbs invisible fishing line.  Then hung it from two hooks like so:

For the second design, I used a curtain kit from IKEA called DIGNITET:

I secured the 5 anchor pieces in a zipzag pattern and pulled the wire and tightened it like so:
